Super Space Acer for the TI-99/4A is both a new game and the old game at the same time!

The original game was started in 1989 and released in 1992 on diskette. Now in 2024(2025!)it is released on UberGROM cartridge as a much more complete title. The game contains 256KB of ROM and optional supports joysticks, F18A, ForTI sound, and SID Blaster sound.

The 128KB of GROM stores the original 1992 game release, as well as stories and the unreleased sequel's title sequence. Both label styles are included in the purchase.

Requirements:

• Designed for the TI-99/4A home computer. Both the 1981 and 1983 v2.2 console is supported.
• 32KB or compatible memory expansion is required
• Joysticks are Optional
• F18A Graphics are Optional
• ForTI Sound Card is Optional
• SID Blaster Sound Card is Optional

To Play:

• Ensure your TI-99/4A is powered OFF when inserting or removing the cartridge.
• On the Master Selection Screen you will have the option of Super Space Acer or Library
• Library gives you the option to try the original 1992 release, read the stories or see the intro for the unfinished sequel.

• It's a standard space shooter - shoot the enemies and don't get hit.
• Some enemies will drop a powerup: 'S' gives you shields, 'P' powers up the pulse weapon, and 'W' powers up the wide shot. P and W will switch weapons if you are currently on the other one. It remembers the powerup level of the previous weapon if you switch back to it.
• Each ship operates differently:
  • The cruiser has a permanent shield that can withstand 3 hits. The Shield powerup will restore one level of shield. The cruiser has only one life, made up for by the shields.
  • The snowball has a timed shield that is impervious to hits. The Shield powerup grants more time. Snowball has three lives.
  • The ladybird has a timed shield but it is offensive and gains power by ramming opponents. Ladybird has three lives.
• There are 5 stages, each ending with a more difficult boss. Shooting the boss will damage the body, granting access to the engines at the rear. Destroy all engines to defeat the boss.
